BLACKFEET TERMS OF MATERIAL CULTURE In the summer of 2004 Rosalyn LaPier and Shirlee Crow Shoe conducted a research project on the Blackfeet reservation in Montana with the Piegan Institute and the National Museum of Natural History. The purpose was to collect Blackfeet words or terms related to material cultural items. The initial research project collected words or terms found in dictionaries or lexicons and then we met with first language speakers to discuss the words.
